The Colorado All Payer Claims Database Is Getting A Makeover

Posted: June 28, 2017

The Colorado Medical Price Compare is pleased to announce that as part of their full transition to the new CO APCD data warehouse vendors July 1, 2017, they are actively working to merge www.comedprice.org and www.comedpriceshowcase.org into one cohesive website at www.civhc.org. Their goal is to create a seamless user experience for anyone searching for information related to CIVHC and/or the CO APCD.

To facilitate the transition, the current CO APCD website (www.comedprice.org) will no longer be available starting this evening, Tuesday, June 27th. New data visualizations, additional years of data and new measures will be available on www.civhc.org later this year. Click here for a list of planned measures in the upcoming rollouts.

In the interim, the current CO APCD public data and other resources are available for download:

Please do not hesitate to contact Colorado Medical Price Compare at [email protected] if you have any questions or need assistance accessing information during the transition period. Thank you!

APTA CO Members Are Invited To An End-Of-Life Options Act Lunch & Learn With Dr. James Willett, Palliative Care Physician

Posted: June 8, 2017

When: Tuesday, June 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where:
2851 S. Parker Road, Aurora, Colorado

Please join us for the first of three scheduled Lunch & Learn educational sessions on the new End-Of-Life Options Act. This event is sponsored by the Hospice & Palliative Care Association of the Rockies. HPCAR is offering members of APTA Colorado a special rate of $35 to attend (non-members pay $50).

Dr. Willett states that since the Colorado End-Of-Life Options Act went into effect, more of his patients are asking about medical aid in dying. What he found was that most of these conversations were not about how these patients choose to die, but how they choose to live. To learn more about medical aid in dying and what this may mean for your practice, bring a lunch and join us for a 90 minute program on June 20 starting at 11:30 a.m. at Pavilion Towers, Building 1 (APTA Colorado Association Office), 2851 S. Parker Rd., Aurora, Colo., Lower Level Conference Room.

APTA Colorado members pay $35 to attend. Click here to access this discount code (login required).

The next two Lunch & Learn sessions are scheduled for August and October...stay tuned for more information. Register soon as space is limited!
