PSIG Event - Sept. 28: Promoting Participation in Inclusive Community Health & Wellness Programs
Description: Regis University 3rd year DPT students have been working collaboratively with The APTA Colorado Chapter in an effort to design a pilot project that could be duplicated in health systems and communities throughout the State for PT Day of Service in October 2017. The DPT students and supporting pediatric physical therapists will be presenting the project and requesting feedback on how the PSIG can promote the pediatric physical therapist role in promoting health and wellness in inclusive community programs.
When: Thursday, September 28th, 2017 @ 6:45-8:15pm
Where: Regis University, Peter Claver Hall room 210. Parking in Regis lot 4 or lot 5 is available at a cost of $3.00 at the parking kiosk. Parking on the street is free.

PT PAC Event- Sept 23: Building Confidence with Cervical Manipulation

Hosted by: Colorado PT-PAC- All proceeds from this event will go to the PT-PAC to help influence legislative issues affecting PTs in Colorado.
Description: High-velocity, low-amplitude (HVLA) thrust manipulation of the cervical spine is an integral skill for all physical therapists who treat patients with neck pain and headaches. This course is designed to help therapists and students who are not currently comfortable with these interventions. Therefore, we will cover only 3 techniques to ensure that participants gain a mastery in these skills. This lab course will be designed to maximize hands-on practice with a short lecture and group discussion component. Learn more about the event here.
