Manual Therapy in the Lower Extremity - CANCELLED When: Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Where: Regis University, Peter Claver Hall- Room 409 Cost: APTA CO Members $200; Non-Members $250; Students $75 Presenters: Derek Vraa, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, CMTPT, FAAOMPT Hosted by: Colorado PT-PAC- All proceeds from this event will go to the PT-PAC to help influence legislative issues affecting PTs in Colorado. Description: Want to get ahead with your manual therapy skills? Want to improve your clinical reasoning when treating patients with lower extremity injuries? If so, this is the course for you! This lower extremity course is designed to improve both clinical decision making and hands-on technical skills. Attendees will participate in a dynamic discussion of the literature related to manual therapy of the lower extremity. Additionally, a heavy emphasis will be placed on a variety of manual techniques to manage dysfunction of the hip, knee and ankle regions along with complimentary exercise selections. Techniques will include thrust, and non-thrust (Maitland, Mulligan and Muscle Energy Techniques). This course will have an excellent instructor/participant ratio and will be led by Senior Faculty, Directors and Fellows of the United States Air Force Tactical Sports & OMPT Fellowship. This course meets Colorado standards for 8 hours of Category I Professional Development Activity. Target audience: PTs, 2nd and 3rd year PT students Objectives for participants:
