Date: Thursday, March 19, 2020

Time: 8:00 pm, ET

Intended Audience: Physical therapist assistants, physical therapists, and students of physical therapy

Location: Live Webinar/Town Hall

Cost: Free (limited number of seats, first-come, first-served)

Topic: CMS issued a statement Tuesday, March 17, 2020, announcing Medicare coverage of e-visits when furnished by PTs. E-visits are described by CMS as "non face-to-face patient-initiated digital communications that require a clinical decision that otherwise typically would have been provided in the office." The code descriptors suggest the codes are intended to cover short-term (up to seven days) assessments that are conducted online or via some other digital platform, and include any associated clinical decision-making. The webinar will review what PTs and PTAs need to know regarding e-visits.
