APTA Colorado Annual Conference & PT Expo Session Spotlight

Save the dates for the October 26 - 28, 2018 APTA Colorado Rocky Mountain Annual Conference & PT Expo at the Four Seasons Resort in Vail, Colorado.

The full conference provides up to 12 points in Category I education towards your PT continuing competency requirement. Saturday only provides 6 points in Category I education.

Sessions In The Spotlight: General Track

From the Computer Screen to the Clinic on Monday

This two-part course will focus on telehealth physical therapy and implementation of telehealth into your clinical practice. We will discuss current evidence, history, and resources for physical therapists to utilize telehealth in practice followed by specific telehealth physical therapy implementation example in Colorado. The audience will participate with investigating secured telehealth portal as well as non-secure real time audio and video conferencing. Overall, telehealth is a tool to advance physical therapy practice by addressing convenience of travel, cost, and quality of life impacts overall care in the digital age.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define telehealth, telemedicine, and telerehabilitation.
  2. Identify telehealth resources in physical therapy.
  3. Develop telehealth implementation strategy for addressing clinical practice in your clinic.
