210 Attend The 2017 Rocky Mountain Fall Conference & PT Expo

The 2017 Rocky Mountain Fall Conference & PT Expo was held October 6 - 8, 2017 at the Keystone Conference Center. There were 210 people in attendance along with 15 exhibiting companies. On Saturday morning there was an awards presentation which recognized the following people:

Paul Mintken - Outstanding PT of The Year

Katherine Ogle - Clinical Instructor of the Year 

The following representative's were also recognized with a Friend Of Physical Therapy award:

  • Sen. Andy Kerr
  • Sen. Bob Gardner
  • Sen. Larry Crowder

In the afternoon the annual business meeting was held. Ted Weber and Anne Keil, Professional Development Committee Co-Chairs, recognized Dyanna Haley-Rezac for her years of service on the Professional Development Committee. They also thanked the PDC members, Sharon Jordan and Lisa Dannemiller for their work on the conference.

President Cameron MacDonald discussed the chapter's PT CAFE (Colorado Advocacy Fund Engine) initiative. $984 was raised during the lunch hour. You can still donate to the CAFE by texting SupportUS to 243725. He also provided an update on the chapter's financials, Sunset Review, PT Compact and Dry Needling litigation. Sheila Nicholson, APTA board member, gave a national update. The meeting ended with APTA CO lobbyists Ellen Caruso and Eliza Schultz providing a Medicaid update. Save the date for the 2018 Rocky Mountain Fall Conference & PT Expo, October 26 - 28th at the Four Seasons in Vail!
