APTA Colorado Annual Report

President's Message
As the calendar flips to 2023, I hope everyone had the opportunity to spend quality time with their friends and families during the holidays. APTA Colorado has been busy working for you in 2022. Highlights include the Government Affairs Committee successfully negotiating with the Colorado Division for Workman’s Compensation to increase Physical Therapist rates and stave off a 50% payment reduction for all PT services billed after the first code. We have collaborated with National APTA to address the inappropriate use of DPT by Lifetime Fitness personal trainers. We updated our Bylaws and added a Director of DEI to the APTACO board. We continued to address our budget and membership numbers, which allowed us to send our 11-member delegation to the House of Delegates in Washington DC to advocate for Colorado physical therapists. Now we are looking toward 2023.
