Description: Selective manual therapy techniques are an integral part of a physical therapist assistant’s collaborative scope of work. This is the 4th part of our PTA course series and will provide a fundamental foundation on specified manual therapy in addition to the current guidelines and recommendations for the PTA. Course content will explore neurodynamic mobilizations, soft tissue mobilization and stretching techniques as they relate to the lumbopelvic region and the lower quarter. This lab course will be designed to maximize hands-on practice with short lectures and group discussion. Cases will be presented to promote understanding of how and when these techniques are utilized in practice. During the lab, participants will have expert supervision and guidance from multiple Fellows of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and active clinicians.
