Important InterChange Update

HCPF reported on May 25th that the work to modernize the Medicaid provider payment system is proceeding and resources have been added to improve call wait times as well as training to help call center staff resolve issues on the first phone call, whenever possible.

Practical PT Strategies When Working with the Adolescent/Adult Population with Developmental Disabilities

Speaker: Sarah Mann PT, DPT, MBA, NSCA-CPT

  • Sarah is a DPT graduate from the University of Colorado Anschutz. She completed her training at the Sie Center for Down Syndrome with Physical Therapist Pat Winters where she developed the Adolescent and Young Adult Sports Medicine Program from 2013-2015. In 2015. Dr. Mann transitioned to private practice to better meet the needs of teenagers and adults with neurodevelopment disabilities in the community. She owns Mann Method PT and Fitness, PLLC located in Arvada, CO and enjoys physical fitness in all it's forms – especially ones that she can enjoy with her husband and two sons.

PSIG Nomination Deadline Has Been Extended

The Pediatric SIG will be holding elections for President and Treasurer at the PSIG meeting on Tuesday, June 13th. Online voting will be open from June 5-12th and in-person voting will take place at the meeting.

PSIG is currently seeking nominations through Tuesday, May 30th. If interested, please fill out a nomination form.

 

NE District Event - Today: The Symptomatic SI Joint, Clinical Examination, Diagnosis and Treatment

When:  May 18, 2017 , 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Location: Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at UC Health/Poudre Valley Hospital

1106 E. Prospect Rd., Suite 200, Fort Collins, CO  80524

Participants will need to access the building from the north entrance.  Please park in the parking lot on the north side of the building off of Lemay and NOT the surgery center parking lot off of Prospect.   

Description: The Symptomatic SI Joint, Clinical Examination, Diagnosis and Treatment -This presentation will be a 90 minute Category 1 learning opportunity.

Katharine's lecture will emphasize evidence based provocation testing for the SI joint, time to practice the techniques and time for Q and A.  This event is a great CE opportunity for new and experienced therapists alike!

Speaker: Katharine Hauge PT, DPT, OCS

Katharine Hauge PT, DPT, OCS has been practicing Physical Therapy in outpatient orthopedics for 17 years. She received her MSPT from Regis University in 1999 and her DPT from the University of St Augustine in 2013.  As well as seeing patients with many other extremity issues, she has extensive experience treating those with lumbopelvic, hip  and sacroiliac issues.

In addition to her full time solo practice at Katharine Hauge PT Corp, she is an education consultant with SI-Bone, a minimally invasive SIJ surgical procedure. She instructs neurosurgical and orthopedic practices in the differential diagnosis and provocative testing of the symptomatic SIJ. Katharine has completed over 60 events in 5 years with this company.
