Where: University of Colorado Health Scie nces Library, Anschutz Medical Campus. HSL Reading Room (located at the top of the stairs on the 3rd Floor). Description: This presentation will qualify for one Category I credit and will provide infor mation regarding pediatric vestibular disorders and diagnoses, physiology o f the vestibular system and its development and clinical examination. There will be a brief discussion of treatment strategies with evidence supportin g vestibular rehabilitation, as well as referral criteria for children pres enting with vestibular dysfunction.
Speaker: Margot Gray PT, DPT is a pediatric physical therapist at Children's Hospital Color ado. She graduated from Regis University with a doctorate in physical thera py in 2013. Margot is a part of the Balance Disorders Clinic at Children's where she is a member of a multidisciplinary team consistent of an ENT phys ician, a Neurologist and Audiologists working to diagnose and treat childre n with vestibular disorders. She also sees children with vestibular dysfunc tion in the outpatient setting, participates in research as part of the Bal ance Disorders Clinic and provides vestibular training to her colleagues at CHCO and to the Colorado healthcare community.
Cost: Secondary to this qualifying as a Category I Credit, APTA Members will be charged $10.00 and Non-members: $20.00 fee to attend event.
