Innovative Management of the Shoulder Complex: Maximizing Outcomes in Fewer VisitsWhen: Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Where: Regis University, Peter Claver Hall - Room 409 Description: This one-day, case-based course is designed to improve your effectiveness in the clinic managing patients with shoulder pain. Participants will learn the most up-to-date evidence regarding differential diagnosis, examination, and intervention techniques. Majority of course time and emphasis will be placed on lab sessions to improve efficiency and outcomes in the clinic on Monday. Participants will learn unique and effective manual therapy and exercise interventions for the upper quarter based on sound clinical reasoning through case based learning and pattern recognition. This course meets Colorado standards for 8 hours of Professional Development Activity.

Target audience: PTs, PT students Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: 1) Describe functional anatomy of shoulder complex
2) Discuss biomechanics of shoulder complex
3) Perform differential diagnosis of upper quarter symptoms
4) Describe and accurately perform clinical special tests with known diagnostic utility
5) Perform evidenced based interventions for patients with shoulder pain
6) Review pathophysiology, diagnosis, prognosis, and interventions for common shoulder disorders
