Description: Category I Credit - The Movement System is a concept that has been discussed for many years, but now the APTA is making efforts to bring the Movement System to clinicians and educators. The APTA is committed to making sure that physical therapy is recognized as a profession with a unique body of knowledge and skills. Come learn about the Movement System and what it might mean to your pediatric practice. This presentation will help you know about some potential practice changes before they happen, so that you can be as up to date as possible. Ample time for questions and discussion will be provided.

Speaker: Lisa Dannemiller PT, DSc, is Pediatric Certified Specialist and an Assistant Professor at the University of CO, Physical Therapy Program, where she teaches most of the pediatric content. She is active in the APTA at the state and national level. Dr. Dannemiller serves as the co-chair of the Movement System working group with the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy and is on a Movement System Diagnosis task force with the APTA.
