The APTA Colorado Private Practice SIG Needs Your Feedback

Posted: March 1, 2017

The Colorado Private Practice Special Interest Group (Colorado PPSIG) is a component of the Colorado Chapter APTA.  Since its inception the mission has been to provide an opportunity for private practice owners and those interested in forming a private practice in Colorado to connect and advance the interests of private practice in the State.  It is an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals that are facing similar issues and concerns in running a private practice in the state. The PPSIG has provided educational sessions on practice management, leadership, marketing and billing to name a few.

The Chair of the PPSIG has a seat on the Colorado Board of Directors.  This position allows the interests of private practices to be represented when it comes to decision making of the board.  This may entail, but is not limited to the following: having a voice regarding resources allocated by the state, legislative and regulatory activity that is occurring in the State legislature, U.S. Congress and government agencies that may affect private practices, the ability to bring forth to the Governmental Affairs Committee and Board of Directors proposed legislation and regulations that may assist small businesses in providing physical therapy services.

Over the years there has been tremendous growth in the establishment of private practices in the state, yet we may not be connected.  There is some confusion that there is a difference between the National Private Practice Section (PPS) and the Colorado PPSIG.  The officers of the PPSIG would like to hear from you on what your needs are, how can the state PPSIG serve you and what resources would be of most help to you.

We are asking you to take 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to complete this survey so that we can most effectively represent your interests and advocate for private practices in Colorado. Take the survey here.

Thank you!
