2018 Rocky Mountain Annual Conference & PT Expo October 26 – 28, 2018 Four Seasons Resort Vail, CO The American Physical Therapy Association held its annual Conference and PT Expo the weekend of October 26-28 in Vail, Colorado. Sessions ranged from topics including Neuro, Orthopedic, Pediatric, and General Interest with over 17 exhibitors/sponsors and 280 attendees. Along with the informational sessions, the APTA presented awards to the following recipients on Saturday morning: Friend of Physical Therapy Award – Rep. Larry Liston, Rep. Johnathan Singer, Sen. Beth Martinez-Humenik Bob Doctor Service Award – Christopher Edmundson, PT, DPT; Kristin Carpenter, PT, OCS, FAAOMP; Jeffrey Ryg, PT, DPT, ATC, F, OCS; Jennifer Hide-Bourne, PT, DPT CI of the Year – Carolyn Condreay, PT More highlights from the conference include speaker Susan A. Appling, PT, DPT, PhD, and APTA Colorado Director. APTA also recognized the retirement of Ellen Caruso, APTA CO Director of Government relations, who has been the association’s key governmental affairs person since 1980.
