APTA Colorado Regulatory Update Now Available

Proposed Rules 

• We are awaiting on several proposed payment rules to come out from CMS, including the home health, SNF, IRF, and physician fee schedule. 
• With that being said, the first one to come out has been the inpatient hospital/long term care hospital (LTCH) rule 
• APTA is submitting comments.
  o This is the second time in the last month that CMS has issued a RFI on ways to 
  improve the Medicare program. 
  o whether to account for social risk factors within the hospital and LTCH quality and reporting programs 
  o CMS is proposing to increasing payments to hospitals and decrease payments to LTCHs
