APTA Colorado advocates for the interests of physical therapists, including Medicaid reimbursement and legislation to advance the profession, allowing physical therapists to best serve patients across Colorado. 

Through the bundled national membership, APTA advocates for members at the federal level, including Medicare reimbursement.


Colorado Governmental Affairs

The APTA Colorado Chapter develops and maintains active lobbying efforts, and presents professional positions to legislators, state regulatory agencies, and other health care organizations.

Eliza Schultz, Schultz Public Affairs

Elisabeth Rosen, Political Advocacy 
Political Advocacy is a political strategy and lobbying firm specializing at the state level in Colorado with the General Assembly, Governor’s Office and State Departments. Elisabeth began lobbying before the Colorado General Assembly in 2004 as an associate for Brandeberry-McKenna Public Affairs. In 2010 Elisabeth started her firm with great success and a portfolio of clients due to her strong relationships and reputation for hard work and professionalism. For over a decade Elisabeth has specialized working with associations and has strong relationships with legislators, stakeholders and leaders across Colorado.



Alan Morse, Schultz Public Affairs and Political Advocacy
Alan Morse is a skilled public affairs consultant currently contracted with both Shultz Public Affairs and Political Advocacy. Alan plays an active role in developing and executing lobbying strategies on behalf of clients in multiple policy areas including education, environmental, health care, local government, business and judiciary policy. Working as part of the team, he has fostered critical relationships with legislators, legislative staff and other decision-makers. He provides continuous and accurate reports on legislative news, relevant committee hearings and the JBC so that clients can make quick and informed decisions.

Colorado Physical Therapy PAC

The Colorado Physical Therapy PAC is an affiliate organization of the American Physical Therapy Association Colorado Chapter. It is dedicated to raising money to support the campaigns of political candidates. Participating in the Colorado PT PAC creates a way for individuals to collectively support candidates of both political parties who have demonstrated a willingness to consider and support our agenda.

Donate to the PAC

As a reminder, this donation is not deductible as a charitable or business expense. Also, the donor must not be reimbursed for the expense by their employer, school, or other entity, nor may the donor be a business.

Per Colorado law, individuals may contribute a maximum of $575 per House of Representatives election cycle (2 years). There is no minimum donation level.


Federal Governmental Affairs 

The APTA Colorado Federal government affairs liaison to the APTA is appointed by the APTA Colorado Board of Directors and is responsible for maintaining contact with APTA. Ira Gorman is the APTA Colorado Federal Government Affairs Liaison.
