2016 APTA Colorado Election
The APTA Colorado chapter’s 2016 elections opened on Friday, April 1, 2016, for a two-week period and concluded at 2:30 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
The following candidates were elected for the offices designated below:
Director At Large Amy McDevitt Term from 7/1/16 – 6/30/18
Treasurer Scott Rezac Term from 7/1/16 – 6/30/18
Delegate At Large Rebekah Griffith Term from 7/1/16 – 6/30/18
Alternate Delegate At Large Lisa Walde Term from 7/1/16 – 6/30/18
Chief Delegate Elect Jill Flaherty Term from 7/1/16 – 6/30/17
Nominating Committee Emily Stone Term from 7/1/16 – 6/30/19
Following is a summary and the election results of the The Amendment to the Bylaws which were included on the electronic ballot. Bylaws amendments must pass by two-thirds of the voting membership.
- FAILED: PTA, retired PTA and Life PTA members shall each have one (1) vote at Chapter membership meetings.
- PASSED: Modification of Board of Directors Composition: Each Special Interest Group shall have one representative elected by the Special Interest Group to serve as such representative and who shall serve a term of two (2) years.
- PASSED: Elections and Rules of Plurality: Electronic voting by the members of the chapter or of the Chapter’s Board of Directors is allowed when permitted by appropriate resolutions adopted by the Board of Directors.
- FAILED: Dues increases:
- PT dues increase in $5 increments every two years beginning in 2017 until 2021.
- PTA dues increase in $3 increments every two years beginning in 2017 until 2021.
- PT – Post Professional Student one-time dues increase of $5 in 2017.
- One-time dues increase of $5 in 2017 for the following member types: SPT, SPTA, Life PT, Life PTA, Retired PT, Retired PTA.
