Description: High-velocity, low-amplitude (HVLA) thrust manipulation of the cervical spine is an integral skill for all physical therapists who treat patients w ith neck pain and headaches. This course is designed to help therapists and students who are not currently comfortable with these interventions. There fore, we will cover only 3 techniques to ensure that participants gain a ma stery in these skills. This lab course will be designed to maximize hands-o n practice with a short lecture and group discussion component. During the lab, participants will have expert supervision and guidance from multiple F ellows of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists an d other therapists with advanced training in manual therapy.
